Having worked on a dairy farm as a teenager, I have to agree with you both Diva and Scars. There is something very appealing about cows; they're so placid for a big animal.

Yes! Y'all don't know how happy I am to know that I'm not the only one that likes cows that much lol. My best friend is a cowgirl (typical I know ) so she's out on the ranch a lot that the school owns cos its apart of her major and she's always telling me about the animals and the horses and I'm like sooo what about the cows? Can you please take me to go see a cow please!!! She thinks I'm insane! I think they're adorable and I want one day and her name will be Queen Elizabeth

Do you go cowtipping or is that big only here in NYS?

I personally don't go cow tipping and I don't think it's too big around here. If that's done you mainly see at the rodeos but even then it's rare. Roping is more the thing to do

I've never done cow tipping but have heard it's popular around here. Well, closer to AG's territory so maybe she'd be able to fill us in a little bit. But I'm wondering if it's true that the cows really can't get up after they are pushed over?

We have something here called 'fly tipping' but that's another thing altogether!!

Well, you go out into the farmland at night and push the cows over so they fall onto their sides. I've never done it but have heard the cows can't get back up. Is that true? Do cows never lie down?

Cows DO lay down. Especially before it is about to rain I believe. The falling air pressure affects their digestive sytems and they can't be arsed to go and graze, so they lay down.!!

I'd heard of cow-tipping, but never known anyone who has known anyone who has personally done it. Poor cows. Maybe they can't get up from fully on their sides, but can get up if their legs are a bit underneath them?

You know that it has to be nothing more than an urban legend, Liese! A cow weighs about half a ton and might be tad hard to push over

Besides; they CAN get up easily from laying on their sides, trust me.

My very first thought was my mother. When I was a little girl the safest and most cozy place in the whole wide world was in my mother's arms.

Now I have 4 cats I love dearly.

My favorite thing in the world at this time is walking into my own home, ever so very sweet, home after I've been gone for the weekend or longer and re-uniting with my babies
